A brown leather strap gives the Casio AE-1200 a different look from its familiar bracelet versions. At JamLabsFactory, we pair that leather with either a warm single-colour display or a sunset gradient. The useful question is not just which photograph looks best, but which finished watch you actually want to wear.
This guide explains the differences between our builds and the details to check before buying. JamLabsFactory independently modifies genuine Casio base watches; these are not official Casio colourways or collaborations.
A complete watch or just a replacement strap?
Searches for a Casio AE-1200 leather strap can lead to very different products: a strap on its own, a strap-and-adapter kit, or a finished modified watch. Check what is included before comparing prices.
Our Sunset AE-1200 with brown leather strap is a complete watch. It includes the genuine Casio base, the red, orange and yellow sunset-gradient display treatment, and the brown genuine leather aftermarket strap already fitted. It is not a do-it-yourself modification kit.
Sunset Leather, Amber Leather or the bracelet Sunset?
Sunset Leather: a red, orange and yellow gradient paired with brown leather. Choose this build for a multicolour display with a warmer, less metallic overall look.
Amber Leather: our Amber Leather AE-1200 uses a single amber-toned filter with brown leather. Choose this one when you prefer a simpler colour treatment rather than a gradient.
Sunset on a silver bracelet: the separate Sunset Gradient bracelet model combines purple, pink, orange and yellow tones with a silver bracelet. It is not the brown-leather Sunset with an interchangeable photograph: the listed colour treatment and fitted strap differ.
What happens to the digital display?
The modification changes the appearance of the display using a colour filter. It does not turn the watch into a smartwatch or replace the original display with an always-lit colour screen.
The genuine AE-1200 base includes World Time, alarms, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and an LED backlight. Casio describes the standard model on its official AE-1200 product page. Factory specifications describe the original watch; they are not a claim that every factory certification has been independently re-established after modification.
For a closer explanation of the filter itself, see our guide to Casio AE-1200 colour filters and backlights.
Check the colour in ordinary light
A display can look different in daylight, at an angle and with its backlight switched on. A dramatic dark-background photograph is useful for seeing the design, but it should not be your only reference.
Before ordering, look for a straight-on photograph in ordinary light and a demonstration of the actual backlight. Ask us about anything that is unclear. The sunset gradient is a filter treatment, not a new red or multicolour lighting system.
Check the finished strap fit, not just the watch name
For a complete build, the useful measurements are the fitted strap length and supported wrist range. A nominal strap width alone does not tell you whether a watch will fit your wrist.
When buying a replacement strap separately, also check attachment width, spring-bar fit and whether that particular strap requires adapters. Do not assume that a strap advertised simply as a Casio strap fits every model or configuration.
We are happy to confirm the fitted strap details for the build you are considering. Contact JamLabsFactory before ordering when sizing is uncertain.
Delivery, returns and what is actually being sold
